This evening, I have the privilege of engaging in conversation with Consuelo Miranda, the host of “Once Upon a Time”, a radio talk show on Portland’s KBOO 90,7 FM community station. We’ll talk about how poetry, music, and the visual and performing arts unlock the power to not only understand ourselves, but help build community as we share our stories. Using examples mostly from my memoir, Arms Filled With Bittersweet, we’ll explore the universal themes of love, justice, resilience, and the inevitable beauty and tragedy that is everyday Life in action.
